PhD student Jinchi Tang presented his research at OARSI 2023 in Denver.
The aim of this study entitled “cam morphology is strongly and consistently associated with the development of radiographic hip osteoarthritis” was to determine the association between cam morphology and the development of radiographic hip osteoarthritis over 10 years time.
He found that cam morphology exposes the hip to a significantly increased risk to develop hip osteoarthritis within 10 years. Notably, the larger the cam morphology, the more severe the hip osteoarthritis.
